PayPal Launches New System for SMEs to accept Contact-free Payments

PayPal recently launched a new service using QR codes to allow people to pay for goods and services. This will allow small businesses and casual traders to accept contact-free payments for goods and services in person using QR codes. The new service is available to millions of active PayPal users in 28 countries.

The QR payments are pitched as being useful for small businesses and casual sellers without card machines or delivery services that rely on cash.  These include takeaways, market traders, or casual sellers on Facebook Marketplace.
