ANSA McAL through its ANSA McAL Foundation has donated 1,000 tablets to the Ministries of Education in Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Grenada, St.Kitts and Nevis and, Jamaica since December 2020. The first school to receive tablets was the Nelson Street Boys R.C. School in Trinidad.
The fund-raising ‘One Yard’ benefit was held on 30th October 2020 ‘to assist in providing technology to support home-based learning through the Caribean, brought on by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic’. This virtual event, powered by ANSA McAL Group of Companies and produced by Ultimate Events featured talent from the Caribbean.
Donations made on the night were deposited in the One Caribbean, One Future Fund which was specifically set up for this event.
ANSA McAL will continue to deliver tablets to the ministries within its territories over the next few weeks.
